Good news for residents of Noida and nearby regions. An indoor play zone for kids called Tingaland has opened in Noida's Starling Mall based in Sector 104. Suitable for kids up to 10 years, this place offers a lot of fun activities for children and at the same time keeps them engaged in a manner that enables them to learn as well. I am sure as a parent most of us thrive for such learning and enjoyable activities I had mentioned in one of my earlier blogs about indoor play areas gaining popularity in Delhi (https://www.mysecondinnings.in/2018/08/indoor-play-areas-becoming-popular.html), which is now spreading in NCR as well.
There is also a wall climbing zone which allows adventurous kids to go upto 15 meters height. All the safety gears are provided by the staff and there is nothing to worry about.
About the Play Area
At the entrance, the big sign board says - Play with us at Tingaland - and we were really excited to see what this place had to offer. We were further greeted by a statue of alien dog which also happens to be the mascot of this place. My daughter took a while before gaining full confidence in getting close to the dog. We took a 1 hour deal which costed Rs 500 and 1 parent is allowed to accompany their child.
The play area is divided in to 2 sections - one dedicated for toddlers and one for grown-up kids. Toddlers zone includes swings, play foot piano, playing with kinetic sand, plastic ball pool, etc. Below pictures will give you a glimpse:
For grown up kids, there were a lot of inter-connected tunnels enabling the kids to use their skills on how to come out, shooting zone, commando nets, zig-zag slides, etc. As was expected, my daughter was not content with her zone stuff and was consistently peeking on the activities of grown-up kids. Eventually, I had to request the staff to make her do the zig-zag slide.
Other Sections
Besides the play area, there was a separate parents lounge where parents can wait while their kids are having fun. More than a sitting space, the lounge also has a cafe where parents can grab a quick snack or a beverage. I really liked the setup of the lounge as it gave the view of the complete play area so that we can watch our child at any point.
There was also a Craft Centre, where one can check and buy children books, drawing books, activity books, etc. All the sections were exclusive and properly dedicated which shows that the management has given a lot of thought in designing the entire Tingaland.
Conclusion
I was really impressed with Tingaland and the activities they offer. I have already mentioned about their fabulous play area and the management has taken great in ensuring safety of the kids. The entire flooring in the play area is made of rubber to avoid any serious injury. The exclusive and spacious parents lounge and craft centre very well complements the play area.Their support staff was very friendly and took good care of the child. You can sense from the fact that they were calling the kids by their names, which I have not seen in any indoor play area. Also, once the child is done with an activity, all the things were put back to place within minutes and the place was as clean as it can get. Overall, we traveled about 35km and at the end felt content.
